Maxwell Wheaton is completing his articles at Mirae Law after earning his J.D. from the University of Victoria in 2025. Before joining the firm, he gained tax-litigation experience at the Tax Appeals & Litigation Branch of the BC Ministry of Finance, and now brings that background to the firm's tax law files while rotating through its broader practice areas.
He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of British Columbia, and has appeared before both the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Provincial Court of British Columbia.
